The Serenade Project

Band Profile 

The Serenade Project is an all-male acoustic band based in Manila. They call themselves as such for

their desire to immortalize the beautiful Filipino tradition of “harana”. Harana is an old custom in the Philippines wherein a young lad, usually accompanied by his guitar-playing friend, offers a song or two to a young lady that he wishes to pursue. The goal of the band is to serenade the audience and that’s why they chose to specialize on feel-good, positive, acoustic music that people of today loves singing along to. Their music is highly inspired by Boyce Avenue, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer.

The band plays during weddings, birthdays and other events. They also have regular gigs in food courts and food bazaars. As a "serenade" band, they can also be hired to sing for individual clients during their birthdays or anniversaries. They can visit the clients at their offices and offer two songs with a bouquet of flowers and a message from the sender. Members Profile 

Mark Delgado, Lead Vocalist 

Mark became an accidental wedding singer when he, with so much hesitation, sang for his friend’s wedding during the year 2011. He was accompanied by a keyboard and violin duo called KeyStrings Music, an established musical ensemble based in Quezon City. The duo had already performed with popular artists such as Quest, Suy Galvez and many more. After his first gig, Mark became a regular wedding singer for the duo and that’s how he got discovered by many clients, one of which asked him to sing solo with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.





Glenn Chavez, Lead Guitarist



Glenn is a 19-year old guitar prodigy from Manila. At the age of 7, he already passed the audition to become a guitarist at his local church in Ortigas. He plays the guitar every Friday at the Youth Services of the church. Glenn is also an incoming freshman at Centro Escolar University’s Conservatory of Music after deciding to drop his plans of becoming a seafarer. His musical inspirations include John Mayer, Paul Gilbert and Eric Johnson.


Pao Martinez, Lead Percussionist, Guitarist & Vocalist

Pao is a Worship Leader at the Kids Church of his local church. He started playing the guitar when he was 16 years old and his first gig was during a wedding in 2011 where he sang and played the guitar simultaneously. Pao’s greatest musical inspiration is the Boyce Avenue.
